About Exchange Examiner
In short: Exchange Examiner is an independent publication that explains how Coinbase and other crypto exchanges actually work, what they cost, and how they compare, in plain English. We are not owned by, partnered with, or paid by Coinbase or any exchange we cover.
What we cover
Most people searching about Coinbase want a specific answer: what a trade will really cost, whether Coinbase Pro still exists, how to move money to a bank, or whether another exchange is a better fit. We organize the site around those questions:
- Coinbase guides: fees, order types, payment methods, withdrawals, taxes, prices and the COIN stock.
- Comparisons: Coinbase against Binance, Kraken, Gemini, Robinhood, Crypto.com and others.
- Wallets: the difference between keeping crypto on an exchange and holding your own keys.
- How to buy: step-by-step guides for specific coins.
- When to buy: market cycles, dollar-cost averaging and the habits that hurt most investors.
How we make money
We do not charge readers and we do not take payment from exchanges for coverage. Some pages link to a free investing workshop from The Cycle Code through an affiliate link; if you later buy something from them, we may earn a commission. That relationship never changes what we say about an exchange. Details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
How we research
We build every page from primary sources: exchanges' own help centers, fee schedules and legal pages, regulator and court filings, and company announcements. Crypto products change quickly, so each page shows when it was last updated and lists its sources. Read the full editorial policy.
What we are not
We are not financial advisers, and nothing here is personal investment, tax or legal advice. Crypto prices are volatile and you can lose money. See our risk disclaimer.
