Editorial Policy
In short: We use primary sources, cite them on every page, say when something can't be verified, and update pages when fees or products change. Commercial relationships never decide what we write.
Sources we rely on
- Official help centers, fee pages, user agreements and product announcements from the exchanges and wallets we cover.
- Regulator, court and bankruptcy filings, and company investor-relations releases.
- Reputable news coverage, used to confirm events such as shutdowns, acquisitions and security incidents.
Each guide ends with a list of the sources behind its facts and the month they were checked.
What we will not do
- Invent prices, fees, features, ratings, user counts, testimonials or first-hand experiences.
- Tell you which coin to buy, predict prices, or promise returns.
- Accept payment from an exchange to change a comparison or a verdict.
Fees and numbers change
Exchanges change fees, limits and supported coins often, and many costs depend on your country, payment method and trade size. Where an exact number varies, we explain how it works and point you to the place in the app where the current figure is shown, rather than printing a number that may be wrong next month.
Outdated products
Many people still search for products that no longer exist, such as GDAX, Coinbase Pro, BlockFi or Voyager. We answer those searches directly: what the product was, what happened to it, and what the current equivalent is.
Corrections
If a fact on this site is wrong or out of date, we correct the page and update its date. Significant corrections are noted on the page.
Independence and affiliate links
Our one commercial relationship is an affiliate link to The Cycle Code's free workshop, explained on our affiliate disclosure page. Exchange comparisons contain no affiliate links. Learn more about us.
